In excess of 30 years ago, along with Michael Francis, Malcolm commenced the business that is now Byron Capital.
In July 2017, he retired from practicing as a Principle Adviser within the firm however he continues to be an equity Partner and Director of Byron Capital Pty Ltd so continues his input into the firm as a Board Member.
Prior to his significant years of experience in the financial planning industry, Malcolm gained experience in commercial accounting working for a large family group which had significant manufacturing, sales and pastoral business interests.
During his years in the financial services sector, Malcolm and Michael travelled overseas on a number of occasions to study the developments in the industry so as to apply these to the improved effectiveness of the services Byron Capital provided to its clients.
His Academic and Professional Qualifications are:
- Bachelor of Business (B Bus) (University of Southern Queensland);
- Member of the Financial Planning Association of Australia (FPA)
- Fellow of CPA Australia Certified Practising Accountants (CPA – Specialist in Professional Financial Planning);
